What Is OKX (DEX) in Gem Wallet?
What Is OKX (DEX)?â
OKX (DEX) is the decentralized exchange aggregator from OKX Wallet. It compares liquidity across many DEXs and routes your swap through the best path. Gem Wallet uses it for same-chain swaps. You don't need an OKX account, and your funds never go to the OKX exchange.
When you swap, Gem Wallet asks all supported swap providers for a quote at once and picks the best one. OKX (DEX) is used when it gives the best quote for your pair, or when you choose it yourself under Providers on the swap screen. To see which provider a swap uses, open Details on the swap screen. See How to Select a Swap Provider in Gem Wallet.
Supported Networksâ
Gem Wallet uses OKX (DEX) for same-chain swaps on: Ethereum, BNB Chain, Polygon, Arbitrum, Optimism, Base, Avalanche C-Chain, Linea, zkSync, Blast, Manta, Mantle, Monad, Plasma, Sonic, Unichain, X Layer, HyperEVM, Robinhood Chain, Solana, and TRON.
Both assets must be on the same network. To move assets between networks, Gem Wallet uses a cross-chain provider.
A pair only appears when the provider returns a live quote for it. Liquidity, amount limits, and route availability can change at any time.
Solana Swaps Through OKXâ
In some app versions, OKX swaps on Solana failed with the error Solana transaction already contains the wallet signature, and pairs that only OKX could quote couldn't be swapped. This is fixed in Gem Wallet 2.114.69. Update the app if you see this error.
If an OKX (DEX) Swap Failsâ
An OKX (DEX) swap is a single transaction on the selected network, so it either completes or fails as a whole. If it fails, the assets you were swapping stay in your wallet, but the network fee is still spent.
Common causes are a price move larger than your slippage setting, low liquidity for the pair, or not enough of the network's coin for the fee. See Why Was My Crypto Transaction Reverted? and What to Do When No Swap Quote Is Available.
Need Help With a Swap?â
Contact Gem Wallet support from Settings > Support in the app, and include the transaction ID of your swap. Before you share anything, read What Information Is Safe to Give Wallet Support?.
Gem Wallet support will never send you a direct message first, ask for your Secret Phrase or private key, or ask you to send funds to "fix" a swap. Anyone who does is a scammer.
