Why Is My Completed Swap Missing from Activity?

Where Swaps Appear in Gem Wallet

Every swap you make in Gem Wallet appears in Activity, and it's listed under both assets: the one you paid with and the one you received. A cross-chain swap starts as Pending, moves to In Transit while the provider delivers it, and ends as Successful, Refunded, or Failed. See What Do Cross-Chain Swap Statuses Mean?.

If you can't find a swap, or its received asset doesn't show, work through the checks below.

1. Check the Wallet and Filters

  • Selected wallet: Activity only shows the wallet that's currently selected. Switch to the wallet you swapped from.
  • Filters: Activity can be filtered by transaction type and network. Clear any filters, or filter by Swap to see only swaps.
  • Date: Activity is grouped by day, newest first. Scroll to the day you made the swap.

2. Check the Received Asset

If the swap shows as Successful but the received asset isn't on your wallet screen:

  • The asset is hidden or not added. Search for it with the search button on the wallet screen and turn it on. See I Don't See My Token in Gem Wallet.
  • The destination network isn't added. For a cross-chain swap, add the destination network's coin to your wallet so its balance and activity load.
  • The balance hasn't refreshed yet. Pull down on the wallet screen to refresh.

3. Check Where the Swap Was Made

Gem Wallet's swap tracking only follows swaps you started in Gem Wallet. If you used the same Secret Phrase in another app, such as a different wallet or a dApp, swaps made there:

  • may show only as a plain Sent, Received, or Contract Call transaction, not as a Swap, and
  • aren't tracked through to the destination network.

Check those swaps in the app or dApp you used, or on the provider's explorer.

4. Check a Cross-Chain Swap That Changed Status

What you seeWhat it can mean
In Transit for a long timeThe provider is still delivering. Check the provider's explorer from the swap details
Failed, but the funds arrivedGem Wallet stops waiting for the provider after 12 hours and marks the swap Failed if it never got a final result. Delivery can still happen after that. Verify it with How to Verify the Destination Transaction of a Swap
RefundedThe provider returned your funds on the source network, sometimes as a different asset. See What Does a Refunded Cross-Chain Swap Mean?

5. Check the Destination Address

A cross-chain swap delivers to the destination address set when you swapped. Normally that's your own address in the same wallet. If the destination asset belongs to a different wallet in Gem Wallet, switch to that wallet. Open the destination transaction on the network's explorer to confirm the receiving address.

Still Missing?

Collect the swap's transaction ID, the networks and assets involved, and the time of the swap, then contact Gem Wallet support from Settings > Support. Never share your Secret Phrase or private key.
